David Torello

David Torello, Ph.D.

Dr. David Torello provides strategic leadership for the John H. Martinson Honors Program (JMHP), guiding its growth and distinctive identity. He oversees faculty, staff, budget, and donor relations, teaches honors courses, and advocates for and implements high-impact, student-centered undergraduate experiences within the JMHP and across the Institute.

David holds doctoral and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

David is a senior academic professional in Georgia Tech's George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering with extensive leadership in student-centered program design and delivery. He is the former director of the A. James Clark Scholars Program and the College of Engineering Dean’s Scholars Program.
