Building a Community

The John H. Martinson Honors Program community is built through living and learning together, as well as participating in a wide variety of events and programming.

The program is guided by the student leaders of the Honors Leadership Council and the committees that they form, including Civic Service, Community Building, New Student Onboarding, and Professional Development.

The mission and vision of the JMHP are lived daily through the classes, events, and programming in which students participate.

After graduation, JMHP alums go out into the world and are agents of change.

Student engagement in the community is encouraged and supported by the Jacket Journey program, as well as opportunities such as the Student Challenge Fund and the Outstanding Student Award.
